Ontario’s real estate scene continues to remind us how local the market truly is. In late Q3, we saw 1,100 home sales across the province, but the real story is in the details. For example, one county closed 138 sales at an average price of about $516,000, with 442 new listings and nearly 1,000 homes on the market. Another area held steady with 118 sales, but the average price slipped to around $635,000 and homes took about 60 days to sell. Meanwhile, a third county saw just 31 sales—but prices there actually climbed to $857,000, up 27% month-over-month and 8% higher than last year.
These numbers aren’t just stats; they’re a reminder that each community has its own rhythm and story. Whether you’re planning a move, considering selling, or just keeping an eye on where the market’s headed, it’s important to remember that real estate decisions are never one-size-fits-all. With nearly three decades of experience, I’ve learned the value of market-specific guidance—especially when changes like these crop up during times like municipal election season. If you ever need to talk through what’s happening in your neighbourhood, I’m always here to listen and help you make sense of the numbers.
